Infrastructure is often evaluated as a response to today's requirement: a defined electrical load, a planned production volume or a specific compute deployment. Civil works, utility connections and primary distribution may operate for decades. Compute hardware, control software and process equipment change much faster. Architectures should protect the durable layers while making the fast-moving layers accessible and replaceable.
